DAY 1: CUSCO
Arrival at Velasco Astete airport, in Cusco city, reception and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon free for acclimatize to the altitude (3360 m.a.s.l.).
DAY 2: CUSCO

Morning free. In the afternoon, guided Cusco city tour visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha, drive out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.

DAY 3: OLLANTAYTAMBO

After breakfast, begins the full day excursion to the Sacred Valley, visiting a succession of picturesque towns, agricultural terraces and archaeological sites. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, have the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll at the Pisaq's typical Indian market, then continue through Ccoya, Lamay, Calca and Urubamba towns. Lunch at a local restaurant in Urubamba. In the afternoon visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entry of this part of the valley and protect it from enemies of the lower jungles; consisting in a series of superimposed terraces of carved stones accessed by long staircases. After that, transfer to the hotel in Ollantaytambo.

DAY 4: OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO

After breakfast, transfer to the train station, by walking (the hotel is very close), to take the train. You will arrive at Aguas Calientes train station, from where you take a 20 minutes bus ride to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Once there, you will have a guided tour, with an English speaking guide. The ruins are on the eastern slope of Machu Picchu in two separate areas: the agricultural and the urban. Bus to Aguas Calientes. Back to Cusco on the afternoon train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

DAY 5: END OF THE TRIP

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport or bus station.
